Cardura
Cardura is a blood pressure medicine prescribed to treat patients with high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. In addition, Cardura is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition in which the prostate gland grows larger, pressing on the urethra and threatening to block the flow of urine from the bladder.
Unfortunately, patients who have used Cardura are more likely to experience congestive heart failure than those who used a cheaper diuretic, according to a National Institutes of Health study.
Other side effects of Cardura use include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accelerated or pounding heartbeat
- Light-headedness, dizziness and fainting
- Swelling in your hands, ankles or feet
- Painful erection that often lasts four hours or longer
- General weakness
- Diarrhea and stomach pain
If you have experienced any of these side effects, don't wait to contact a Cardura attorney. At the Eichholz Law Firm, our dangerous drug lawyers are ready to discuss your legal options.
