Pfizer Inc.'s Trovan (trovafloxacin/alatrofloxacin) is an antibiotic used for serious infections including, but not limited to, sinusitis (sinus infection), pneumonia, sexually transmitted diseases, urinary tract infections and severe strep throat. Approved by the FDA in 1997, Trovan comes in oral and intravenous formulations.
