America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Thanks The Eichholz Law Firm
The Eichholz Law Firm is proud to announce our receipt of a Certificate of Appreciation from America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia for our charitable donations in the 2013 Georgia Legal Food Frenzy!
The certificate was presented with a Thank You letter that detailed how this non-profit event will help the Savannah community. Nearly 3,000 meals will be provided with the donations that were received! The meals are provided to “food insecure children, working poor families, people with disabilities and senior citizens struggling with low-incomes.” The agency, a member of the Feeding America initiative, provided over 10 MILLION pounds of food in 2012 that were all used to feed the hungry in our local area.
America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia operates a local food bank and is involved with 300 non-profit agency partners that provide similar types of aid through soup kitchens, shelters and more.
To contribute or volunteer, please refer to the information below:
Every $1 = 7 meals!!! You can donate to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia by visiting their donation page, and aside from making monetary donations, you may also contribute your professional services and in-kind gifts. The non-profit is currently accepting non-perishable food items and small kitchen wares for a Culinary Arts program at Grace’s Kitchen. Call 912-236-6750 for more information.
Another option for online donations is the organization’s “Virtual Food Drive”. Through the non-profit’s website, contributors can access a portal with a “virtual shopping cart” that lets you select the items you wish to purchase for donation. Contributors can select items such as a turkey or cans of sweet potatoes, or opt to feed 1 - 8 hungry families.
America’s Second Harvest offers plenty of opportunities for volunteers, including sorting and stocking food to event volunteer positions. Available opportunities include:

Attend a Fundraiser
For those that enjoy giving through social events and activities, America’s Second Harvest regularly hosts fundraisers. Coming up in 2013 is a Chefs’ Table black-tie event with multiple auctions and Golf for Birdies, a tournament to donate turkeys to families during the holiday season.
