The Eichholz Law Firm Participates In The Savannah MLK Observance Day Parade

This year The Eichholz Law Firm participated in the 39th annual MLK Observance Day Parade in Savannah, and had a great team on board our Old Town Trolley to pass out goodies and swag to observers. Thousands of people lined up in the cold to celebrate this incredible day. While the weather was chilly, spirits were high.

The theme was “Together We Win With Love For Humanity”, a powerful message for our community.

The words of Martin Luther King Jr are as relevant and inspiring today as they were when he lived. We are thankful for his message, and his perseverance for equality. We strive every day to work hard for our community.

The annual parade is held by the MLK Observance Day Association, whose purpose is to “serve our fellow man and to ensure that Dr. King’s goals of eradicating poverty and injustice prevails.” Their mission is not limited to just the parade, and the association plans events throughout the spring.

Savannah-Chatham County Public School Superintendent Dr. Ann Levett and Al Wright, the Public Affairs Consultant at Gulfstream, were the 2018 parade Marshalls. The parade included dozens of marching bands, floats, and walkers, and ROTC units. Close to 300 groups participated in this year’s parade, with the floats being judged on appearance and how closely they reflected the 2018 theme.
