On September 17th, popular children’s store, The Children’s Place, issued a recall on 38,000 footed pajamas due to a flammability risk. According to the retailer, three styles of bunny-themed, one-piece cotton footed pajamas are being recalled. The following styles are affected:

  • Pink with dark pink bunnies and ruffle around the collar, sold in size 9-12 months
  • Blue/green with bunnies on the foot and bunny print fabric, sold in sizes 9-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 2T and 3T

The blue/green style includes those that have bunnies with eyeglasses and bunnies and yellow chicks. The affected pajamas were sold at The Children’s Place retail stores and on their website between January 2012 and May 2013.

Although no injuries have been reported, the recall was made as the garments do not meet the tight-fitting sizing requirements and fail to meet the federal flammability standard for children’s sleepwear.

Consumers should immediately stop use of the pajamas and return them to any The Children’s Place stores for an immediate refund.
