Whole Foods is recalling a portion of their Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon because of possible listeria contamination. The recalled salmon was sold in 4-ounce packages.

The recalled product has the lot code number 7425A2298B on the package. The product was sold at Whole Foods stores in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, and Utah.

Listeria Monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elder adults and people with weakened immune systems.

At this time, no illnesses have been reported.

Consumers are urged to throw away the product and wash their hands immediately to avoid any cross-contamination. Whole Foods is offering consumers a full refund.
