The Eichholz Law Firm held a drive to the help the homeless throughout the month of January to collect necessities for the homeless this winter season. They collected outerwear, winter clothing, toiletries, blankets, and non-perishable food items.
This drive benefited the Old Savannah City Mission and the Savannah Baptist Center. The Old Savannah City mission is funded by people who care about those less fortunate and focus on serving the community’s most vulnerable citizens in the most cost effective way. The Savannah Baptist Center has a mission of helping those less fortunate in the community, and giving them a place they can feel they belong. During these winter months, it can be very difficult to live in the elements, so the employees of the Eichholz Law Firm donated what they could to help make this winter a little more comfortable.
The winter is the hardest and busiest time for charities that help the homeless in our community. The number who turn to charities like the Old Savannah City Mission and the Savannah Baptist Center almost doubles, and the struggle to survive outside is the hardest. It’s imperative to the Eichholz Law Firm that they don’t turn their backs on the community when it needs help the most.
“Giving back is a significant part of our mission at the Eichholz Law Firm,” says David Eichholz, “At the end of the day, one of our goals is to help those less fortunate in our community, and I hope our donations make this winter season significantly easier for those in need.”
