Attorney Jacqueline Piland of The Eichholz Law Firm recently spoke at the annual conference of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) at the Bar Center of Atlanta.
The focus of Jackie’s presentation was alternative dispute resolution (ADR), specifically in workers’ compensation cases, and how attorneys can protect the interests of their clients even after a settlement is reached.
In her presentation, Jackie discussed potential pitfalls in the mediation process and how to avoid them to ensure each client receives the optimal solution, especially with multiple parties are involved.
The ICLE in Georgia is a nonprofit education service of the State Bar of Georgia, and is a consortium of the Bar and the Law Schools of the Universities of Georgia, Emory, Mercer, Georgia State and the John Marshall Law School.
Jackie was selected for inclusion in 2009 and 2011 as a Georgia Super Lawyers® “Rising Star” and in 2013 as an Oklahoma Super Lawyers® “Rising Star,” and is lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum®. In practice at The Eichholz Law Firm, Jackie concentrates not only on workers’ compensation cases, but those involving auto accidents, slips-and-falls, nursing home abuse, defective products and wrongful death.
