Doctors prescribe Cordarone (known generically as amiodarone) to treat heart irregularities, but it may also worsen an already abnormal heartbeat, or lead to liver or lung issues.
Other common side effects include, but are not limited to:
- Allergic reactions
- Difficulty breathing
- Throat closing
- Lip swelling
- Tongue swelling
- Face swelling
Cordarone may also cause wheezing, coughing, chest pain, chest discomfort, yellowing of the skin or eye, shortness of breath, or fainting.
