Serentil, which belongs to a class of drugs known as phenothiazines, is prescribed to treat schizophrenia and other psychological disorders.
Patients take the drug to control severe nausea and vomiting, severe hiccups and some other conditions.
Serentil Side Effects
Side effects may include temporary or permanent unwanted, unattractive, and uncontrolled face or body movements (tardive dyskinesia). Doctors now only prescribe Serentil for schizophrenic patients who do not show an acceptable response to adequate courses of treatment with other antipsychotic drugs.
