Zyban Wellbutrin Lawsuit

The smoking-cessation drug Zyban is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drug that has been linked to serious side effects.

More than five million smokers in the United States have used Zyban, manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, since its release in 1997. Previously, Zyban was available as an antidepressant under the brand name of Wellbutrin.

Zyban Side Effects

Adverse Zyban side effects include seizures, severe nervousness, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and dangerous allergic reactions. A study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that women who take Zyban during early pregnancy may run a heightened risk of having a child born with a congenital heart birth defect.
