At approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, a motorcyclist collided with a semi-truck in Richmond Hill. That motorcyclist, whose condition was unknown at the time of the report, was a Fort Stewart solider.
First Sgt. Luke Harris of the Richmond Hill Police explained that the accident, which took place on I-44, happened as the semi-truck attempted to make a left turn into a service station. The motorcyclist, riding eastbound, slammed into the front of the semi.
Astonishingly, his condition has not been reported as life-threatening, though he was transported by ambulance to Memorial Health University Medical Center, according to Georgia State Police (GSP.)
GSP gave the semi-truck driver a citation, though there was no word on whether the driver sustained any injuries.
