The driver of a tractor-trailer was found at fault in an accident Thursday on I-20 in Columbia County, Georgia, that involved seven vehicles and sent four people to the hospital, said the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the tractor-trailer was Malinda Lane of Lavonia, Georgia. The accident happened 10 a.m. Thursday and involved at least five vehicles and two trailers. One of the rigs became charred after catching fire.

The four people injured in the crash, which included Lane, did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Both eastbound and westbound lanes on the interstate were shut down for more than an hour while the fire department and crews ensured there was no diesel spillage and the scene was clear.
